With this view (bottom centre) what more motivation do you need to get out and run? This is one of my favourite places, Selworthy hill on Exmoor. Nice tracks and bits of road, loads of options and variety from a quick fast flat 4 miles or a cheeky hilly 10 miler to make your legs and lungs burn!

I train 5-6 times per week, mix of runs and sessions with the Taunton Titans (www.titansrugby.co.uk) strength and conditioning coach Lyndon Lane (www.ldnfts.co.uk). I use a kettlebell ordered in from my nearest store for my strength work and can feel the difference from mixing up my training with running and my LDN fitness programme.

I run in Asics Gel Nimbus trainers, fantastic neutral cushioned shoe and one of a range recommended from having a foot balance assessment in the Intersport Tony Pryce Minehead store. I have completed a number of half marathons (raising money for The Teenage Cancer Trust) and these trainers have never let me down. Absolutely love Under Armour kit, looks great and does what it’s supposed too with nice features like thumb holes on tops and clever little zip pockets for a key or emergency jelly babies!!

Now the nights are getting darker I am super excited to break out my adidas SMT jacket! Amazing bit of kit – reflective technology and an incredible performance. Also a bit of a Nike fan and always train in their leggings Tech 2 Capri Tights and socks Elite Running Cushion Socks.

So get your trainers on and I’ll see you on the hill!
